Biography

Jean-Michel Lemieux is a full professor in the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering at Université Laval, and a member of the Centre d'études nordiques and the Centre de recherche sur l'eau. His research focuses on the observation and numerical modeling of past, present and future hydrogeological processes. His recent research projects focus on the quantitative management of groundwater resources in the Magdalen Islands, the study of groundwater flow dynamics in relation to land movement, and the hydrogeology of cold regions. He has been editor of the Hydrogeology Journal published by the International Association of Hydrogeologists since 2015.
